That mission guided us towards opening our own hospital with the view of being the leader in advancing quality bone, joint, spine and muscle care and technology while providing superior access, service and care to our patients and their families.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Program
OrthoIndy Hospital is now officially participating in Anthem’s Blue Distinction Center (Blue Distinction Center+ or BDC+ or BDC/+) Program for Knee and Hip Replacement and Spine Surgery. This Distinction indicates that OrthoIndy Hospital met nationally established criteria around delivering quality specialty care, safely and effectively. BDC+ indicates that OrthoIndy has been selected based on quality, as well as cost metrics. This distinction focuses on the efficiency of the facility and providers.
OrthoForum
OrthoIndy is a member of the OrthoForum. The OrthoForum is a national physician specialty organization whose membership includes many of the largest privately owned orthopaedic practices in the United States. The OrthoForum was established to meet the unique challenges that integrated orthopaedic group practices face in today’s health care environment. Each OrthoForum member is individually selected to participate in activities that advance each group’s presence in its local and regional market through benchmarking, innovation, business ventures, networking and best practices.
Physician-owned and operated
On March 1, 2005, the physicians of OrthoIndy opened OrthoIndy Hospital, formally known as Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital, central Indiana’s first specialty hospital with a direct focus on bone, joint, spine and muscle care. As a physician-owned hospital model, OrthoIndy Hospital’s top priorities are patient safety, satisfaction and outcomes. The nationally ranked hospital provides orthopedic care, including complex surgical procedures such as, total joint replacements and spinal operations, in a safe and like-home environment.
Today, there are three OrthoIndy Hospital facilities. OrthoIndy Hospital Northwest (Indianapolis) and OrthoIndy Hospital South (Greenwood) provide inpatient and outpatient services, including imaging and physical therapy. OrthoIndy Hospital West (Brownsburg) provides outpatient services, imaging and physical therapy.
