In 1982, Dr. Rougraff graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, where he was Phi Beta Kappa. He attended medical school at Indiana University Medical Center and graduated in 1986. Dr. Rougraff completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Indiana University Hospitals in 1991 and a fellowship in orthopedic oncology at University Hospitals of Chicago in July 1992. He completed a second fellowship in orthopedic oncology at the Rizzoli Institute in Bologna, Italy in November 1992.
Dr. Rougraff has authored more than 50 published articles and numerous abstracts. He has given more than 80 national and international presentations and serves as a course lecturer for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has also been the recipient of several research awards and grants.
