Dr. Lafnitzegger earned his undergraduate degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, in 1987. He spent six years in business and research before graduating from Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL in 1998. He completed his internship at St.Vincent Hospitals and Health Services in Indianapolis in 1999 and his residency in anesthesiology at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2002.
His professional interest is in ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blockade for the treatment of surgical pain. Dr. Lafnitzegger is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Indiana Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
