Dr. Bauman, a native of West Lafayette, Indiana, graduated summa cum laude from DePauw University in 1992 where he was a Science Research Fellow and earned several distinctions, including Phi Beta Kappa and the Distinguished Rector Scholarship. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1996 where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Bauman completed his orthopedic surgery residency in 2005 at the Greenville Hospital System and Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Greenville, South Carolina. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Bauman has published several articles and presented his work at regional and national meetings. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Bauman is board certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a certificate of added qualification in Hand Surgery.
