Dr. Falender graduated the highest distinction with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1983. He attended Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, graduating in 1987.
Dr. Falender completed an internship in general surgery at Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit, Michigan in 1988 and a residency in orthopedic surgery at Metropolitan Northwest Hospitals of Detroit in 1992. Dr. Falender completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois in 1993.
Dr. Falender is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Indiana Orthopaedic Society and Indiana State Medical Association.
