Dr. Lintner graduated from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, where he was Phi Beta Kappa, in 1984. He attended Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois and graduated with high institutional honors in 1989.
In 1994, Dr. Lintner completed his internship and a residency in orthopedic surgery at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina in 1995.
Dr. Lintner’s work has been published in leading professional journals including The American Journal of Sports Medicine, The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and The American Journal of Orthopaedics. He has given numerous local, national and international presentations to professional organizations.
Dr. Lintner served as the team physician for the Indiana Pacers and the Indiana Fever and currently is a team physician for Zionsville High School. Dr. Lintner’s professional associations include the American Medical Association and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Lintner is a member of the NBA Team Physician Society and NFL Physician consultant.
